I had the pleasure of working with a talented brand designer, Ellie Mackinnon (…), to develop the visual identity for the store. Together, we created a visual identity that truly captures the essence of Map & Memo. The earthy-toned colour palette draws inspiration from the natural world – think rich soil browns, forest greens, and warm ochres that reflect our love for all things geographical. Here's a fun detail: if you look closely at our logo, you'll spot a hidden fountain pen nib tucked away as a little Easter egg for fellow stationery enthusiasts! The overall design perfectly balances our playful, educational spirit with a touch of nerdy charm. Every element reflects our mission to inspire curiosity about the world while celebrating the simple joy of beautiful, functional stationery that makes learning feel like an adventure.
